Would give more stars if I could! Could not have asked for a better experience. I have worked with this team for multiple projects and most recently had them install recessed lighting and update the wiring for my new stove. We had a variety of work done, including replacing ceiling fans and light kits, installing lights under and on top of kitchen cabinets, and installing many wafer lights (flush against ceiling) and dimmer switches. Jacob, Ryan, and Michael were terrific. Quality of work was excellent. They took their time to make sure the lights were placed in the best locations and sought our input. They carefully moved furniture and tried to put things back where they had been. Clean up was excellent. They were a pleasure to work with, very professional, personable, and friendly. Office staff were also helpful and professional. Will definitely use Joey Foy again.

Phillip Martin from Joel Foy Electric was here January 16 to diagnose our electrical problem with the coach lights and outlet on our head wall, which is about 100 feet from our house. Phillip spent a great deal of time patiently and clearly answering my endless questions, then allowing me to ask questions as he worked. He was the kindest most professional service person that I have ever encountered, and I soon discovered he was also one of the most competent. He rapidly diagnosed and located the problem as two breaks in our underground wiring. He dug two holes in the yard and fixed the wire, and the lights worked. It is important to know that during 4 weeks before I called Joel Foy Electric, another electric company had been here several times, each time claiming they (Albritton’s Electric) could not locate the break and that the only solution was to bury a new line, 24 inches deep and 100 feet in length, cutting through landscape and tree roots. Yet Phillip from Joel Foy Electric found and fixed both breaks immediately and our lights work perfectly, and our landscape, tree roots and bank account were not harmed. Honesty and competence and kindness are extremely rare in service professionals nowadays, and I am very grateful to have found those qualities exist at Joel Foy Electric.

This is the first time using this electrical service company. After reading all the positive reviews I called them up. Jacob was the service tech that came to the house to install GFI outlets to replace very old 2-prong outlets that my old house was installed with with no "ground wire". Jacob did an outstanding job. It was a pleasure to have Jacob and Ryan stop by the house and fix some electrical issues around my home. Both exhibited kind, courteous and professional behavior; very down to earth and a delight to talk to. They were very delicate when moving furniture, and very thorough when checking for any electrical inconsistencies. I live in a “home made home” - a home built inside of an old tobacco barn. We have been working on it since 1974 and we constantly made adjustments in the design to fit oddities of the barn structure as well as meeting unplanned family needs. I know enough about electricity to be a danger. A power surge happened and I lost a string of outlets and all that was attached to them. I asked friends for a recommendation, they suggested Joel Foy Electrical Services. The service technicians were prompt and very courteous. We initially walked through the areas of concern. They correctly and quickly diagnosed the problem and went straight to work. They explained everything. In doing the work they had to replace and accommodate a-refit of a few items. They had everything they needed in their service van. Work proceeded quickly. Everything is now working well and my wife and I are satisfied, happy customers. The site of the work was left cleaner than it was when they arrived. Their prices were most reasonable. We will be soon engaging them for additional work..with no hesitation.

Foy Electric replaced my entire electrical panel in April. I recently had routine AC/Heating maintenance done on my unit. It was determined I need to increase the amperage that supports the AC Unit. I called Foy Electric, they came out within the hour, took care of the problem, at no charge. The men that came out, were extremely nice, knowledgeable and professional. I needed a mid-size job in unfinished garage (7 receptacles, 6 switches, 4 light fixtures). Richard did the estimate, Jake and James performed the job.Richard was very thorough, sketched layouts in his pad, checked breakers and incoming wires to make sure they will support the increased load. It took about two weeks to get a quote and about another month to get the job scheduled.Jake and James worked fast, showed up on time, and were very considerate and quiet, not disturbing work-from-home family members. They were able to think on their feet when some hardware I provided turned out defective. I would like to note that they left the place all cleaned, and even took out trash.But I would emphasize the importance of explaining very clearly if you need anything done in a particular manner. Very clearly.

I just moved into town and my the bathroom outlets in my new home needed fixed and I also had a few questions about my electrical panel and a few switches that went to nowhere around the home. I called four of the top places I found on Google and got quotes. Joel Foy Electrical Services had the lowest hourly rate and the GFIC outlet price if needed replaced was half the price of the competitors. They had availability within 48 hours of calling and actually called me earlier in the day to see if they could come early since they were available which was great for me. The two individuals were professional, friendly and very helpful with my questions that I had as a first time homeowner. They did not waste any time on working through the service but provided quality work. They mentioned that they will call me in a few days to make sure the issues are still resolved and if not, they will come out and continue to problem solve until both parties are satisfied.

Needed a Ring doorbell camera and a Floodlight/Camera installed, at the house in Tallahassee where my daughters live. The office was easy to work with and schedule. The electricians were on time, knowledgable and diligent. There were also several old outlets that were not working, one was a safety hazard, which they also promptly fixed. The office emailed me a bill and called me to make sure that I didn't have any questions. I was able to easily pay online. Jacob was able to diagnose a critical wiring issue that we had from the previous home owner. Instead of trying to fix the current situation, he recommended removing the old wiring that was located underground and replace with new. Also, he suggested replacing the breakers along with adding new, industrial strength outlets that are weather proof because the location is outside. This job consisted of digging a trench by hand 300+ feet to a storage facility that needed vital components to run on electricity 24/7. Everything works perfect now and extremely grateful to Jacob and Joel Foy Electrical Service.Also, the front office is well organized and Karen does a great job of scheduling even in the event of bad weather.In addition to the above, I have used Joel Foy Electrical Service on numerous occasions and it is the only service I will use in Tallahassee because I trust them 100%.

When I read that Joel Foy Electrical Service was in the top three recommended providers in Tallahassee, I reached out to them and found out exactly why they rank so high! Their technicians went above and beyond what I expected of them (to include moving my shed for better access) without out complaint (just part of the job ma'am). The replacement of my 1968 electrical panel meant replacing the outside meter and rooftop electrical connection (not sure what that's called), so they had to coordinate with the COT for this repair. Everything went VERY smoothly and when they came back the next day to label the panel they even vacuumed my rug. Total satisfaction and look forward to using Joel and his team again.

This is the first time we called Joel Foy Electrical for two wiring issues at our home, but it will not be the last. We scheduled a visit, and we received notice when Jason and Derrick were on the way. They diagnosed the problems within several minutes. One issue was a short circuit (loose and fried connections) in a junction box behind our dishwasher. They were professional with a focus on customer service. No mess, no fuss and they answered questions about the work that was done. I also requested a quote for 2 additional lines and 2 high hats while they were here. A reasonable quote arrived by the end of the day by email. We will definitely be using Joel Foy for electrical needs.

I recently purchased a hot tub and was in need of electrical run from the house to the deck that is situated away from the house.Of the five quotes I asked for, Joel Foy was the first company to set up an on-site inspection of my place (without a service fee up front) and helped to assess my needs within the same week. They also were the only company to say they would get me a quote back within a certain time frame and delivered on that promise. Of the quotes received Joel Foy was the only one that came in well under the other quotes.Service was very professional and every person (6 total) that came onto my property maintained a level of care when coming in and out of the front/back yard. Consistently cleaning up behind themselves at every stage of installation.I did not pretend to be knowledgeable of what they were doing so it was nice to have my questions answered with the same level of professionalism and care as I would give anyone who simply wished to know more about what I was doing. I was given a thorough run down of what was to be expected and was shown where everything was going to be placed, where the pipe and electrical was going to be ran and where the boxes were going to be installed.Could not recommend this company more for their service and understanding of the customers time and needs. They called when they said they would call, they showed up when they said that they would and they kept their promise to not only do a clean job but that I would be satisfied with their work.Will definitely use them again in the future.

Kenny is fantastic y'all. My garbage disposal switch caught ON FIRE- smoke coming from the switch, and he was out here the same day and got everything working perfectly. Before, the wiring was an absolute train wreck , so much so, it would trip the breaker for the entire house, It was a disaster. Now, I have a brand new outlet under the sink for my garbage disposal, and beautifully working GFI outlets in the kitchen. Everything is working great, I couldn't be happier! Kenny is incredibly professional, friendly, and timely- and if you need any help with your electrical, he's the man.

Very good experience. Joel Foy was very communicative with me on all levels. Installed an outdoor light fixture. The technician was very good and patient and took care of a few minor electrical issues I also had. Will definitely use them again if needed. Thanks, Vince

Joel Foy Electrical Service did a great job installing new floodlights around our house. Troy was great helping us make a plan to achieve our needs. Kenny was very knowledgeable about the lighting and did a great job with the installation and positioning of the lights. Everyone at Joy Foy Electrical Service was helpful and pleasant to work with.

Kenny and his helper were wonderful. They let me know when they were on the way to my house. They replaced an outside light fixture, which hadn't been installed correctly, but they made it right. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing electrical services.

This is the second time we have called the experts at Joel Foy. It will NOT be the last! Our pool pump failed to start and my son reported seeing sparks and smoke. Phoned the pool folks and they correctly suggested having electrical checked prior to them coming out.Gave a call to Joel Foy Electrical, and spoke with Angie….she’s great. Initially she said it would be a number of days before an estimator could come out. We really needed to address the pool as it was rapidly becoming very inviting to Swamp Creatures. Angie suggested I send pictures, she promptly dispatched Technicians Chuck and Alex. What a great team those two are! I can’t say enough about how impressed I am with their entire service and both were very kind to listen to my “stories” as they busily worked.Keep up the fine work Chuck, Alex and Angie….and the whole Joel Foy Electrical Team.Happy to say no Swamp Creatures we’re harmed or displaced during the pool’s short down time.
